School Uniform

At Abbey Wood Nursery School Uniform is non-compulsory.

 

It is important your child comes to school in clothes that they are comfortable in, and that you as a parent don't mind getting dirty.

 

Children at Abbey Wood Nursery School have access to our playground in all weathers, as well as messy activities - so please do not send your child to school in their "best clothes".

 

Children should come to school in clothes that they can move about easily in. Wear clothes where they can manage the fastenings and take them on or off independently (especially for those last minute trips to the toilet!)

 

ALWAYS PUT YOUR CHILDS NAME IN ALL ITEMS OF CLOTHES AS THEY OFTEN GET MISPLACED. WE ALSO ADVISE YOU TO SEND A CHANGE OF CLOTHES IN A BAG THAT YOUR CHILD CAN LEAVE ON THEIR PEG SO THEY HAVE A CHANGE OF CLOTHES FOR ANY ACCIDENTS.

 

Send your child into school wearing clothing appropriate to that day's weather forecast.

 

We have two items of uniform that are branded, a sweatshirt and a bookbag.

 

Sweatshirts cost £9.00 - these are not compulsory. This item is paid for through ParentPay and collected at the school office.

 

Bookbags cost £5.00 - this is a compulsory item if your child wishes to borrow books from school, to help avoid the books becoming damaged. This item is paid for through ParentPay and collected from the school office.
