This week we’re focusing on rhyme! Playing with rhyming words and having fun making up your own silly rhymes has lots of benefits for young children including helping them to hear and say different sound and teaching them that language and words can be fun.
Our first story is ‘Don’t Put Your Finger in the Jelly Nelly’ by Nick Sharratt which has lots of names that rhyme with food. Maybe you could make your own rhymes up? Are there any foods that rhyme with your name?
Sophia is acting out the story for us here. Could you do the same at home? Watch it until the end for a big surprise!!
