Poems

This week we are reading three of our favourite poems from the book 'A Great Big Cuddle' by Michael Rosen. Poems are excellent for introducing young children to how language can be silly, fun, rhyming or rhythmic. We have chosen these poems for different reasons; 'Are you Listening?' because it shows obvious emotions that children can relate to, 'I Am Hungry' because the words are funny and imaginative and 'Oh Dear' for the rhyming couplets. We hope you enjoy them and have a go at playing with your own words afterwards!
